DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION (DAR) IS A LINEAGE SOCIETY THAT IS A NON-PROFIT, CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PATRIOTISM, HISTORIC PRESERVATION, AND EDUCATION.

You are warmly invited to join almost 170,000 women across the United States of America and around the world, making a difference. The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is made up of about 3,000 chapters, including 22 international chapters chartered in 11 different countries. Our local chapter of the NSDAR is named Anan Harmon and is structured as part of District IV of the Illinois State Organization of the NSDAR. The Illinois State Organization of the NSDAR is strong and very active.

An individual joins a local chapter by invitation of that chapter. She is accepted as a member of the National Society DAR by action of the National Board of Management. A DAR member is first a member of the National Society DAR and through her chapter and state organization she contributes her service to the collective strength and programs of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
